Experience:

Jeff joined Harlowe & Falk LLP in 2022 along with the other shareholders of Thorson McDonald Whitman & Curnutt, PC. He continues to focus his practice on counseling businesses, governmental employers, nonprofit organizations, trustees, and other plan fiduciaries with respect to employee benefits.

Jeff has helped employers design and implement a wide variety of retirement and health & welfare arrangements, including single and multiple employer 401(k) plans, 403(b) annuities, 457(b) plans, bonus and executive compensation plans, major medical plans, health reimbursement arrangements, SERPs, and cafeteria plans. He regularly represents plans and employers before the IRS, DOL, and PBGC and provides practical advice for navigating the maze of operational and compliance issues under the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act.

Jeff helps decision-makers understand and appropriately address the employee benefit aspects of business transactions, corporate wind-downs, and plan termination. He is also recognized for his significant expertise representing employers in connection with withdrawal liability and other matters related to participating in multiemployer union pension plans.
